I have had excellent advice again from the author Susan Price. She advises me to press on and write with my idea of doing a 'preNanowrimo' and urge my muse to sort it out! So having about 5,00o words under my belt I shall start adding to it next week. This weekend will be me sorting out everything I need to hand, getting rid of any distractions and actually being a writer. I can't call myself a writer if I don't write.

I am working on the method of letting my inner muse guide the story. I have done this in the past and it works quite well. If I sit and plan nothing gets written whereas if I tap on the computer I feel I have got somewhere.

  2. Well done on the first 5,000 words. Even small amounts at a time count,
    Linda. :-)

I tried the writing as I went and found it frustrating, so went back to the semi-planning scheme; my word count picked up.

But the important thing is finding what works for you and going with it. So keep going.
